E TYPE V12 REBUILD

This engine had been dismantled for 5 years. Most of the parts had been cleaned /re -plated to a good standard. Both the crankshaft and one of the camshafts were heavily pitted with rust. One camshaft was scrap as a result of poor storage and the crankshaft had to be re-ground. The valve seats and guides were very worn and had to be re-newed. New pistons and liners were fitted with new small end bushes fitted. The distributor had to be rebuilt as the supplied system was not compatible. It was changed back to a standard carburettor engine type and a “Fireball ” system was fitted. This incurred extra cost but it was well worth the money. The flywheel was lightened and skimmed.
